Hi guys!

I'm doing a school project about law in Bhutan... I am applying for law in university and am very interested in the subject :)

I recently went to Bhutan, this summer in fact! it was a beautiful place and i was very sorry to leave it. however, I do not think i have learnt a lot about the country in regards to its legal system... i would be very grateful if any local Bhutanese person could help me :)

whats it like? are you happy with it? is there anything that you dont like, and that affects your daily life? eg. censorship ? anything you think unreasonable? im just brainstorming right now, so feel free to bring up anything of interest or big in the news at the moment... i would just like to know more!

for example, tourists who come to Bhutan have to pay (correct me if i am wrong) 21 US dollars a day (all accommodation food etc taken care of) to just stay in the country, and this is all in an attempt to minimise the number of tourists. do you think this is a good thing? what other attempts have there been to minimise the no. of tourists? have there been negative/positive effects on the country b/c of tourists so far? would one of the attempts be to only allow a foreigner to gain bhutanese citizenship thur marriage with a local (am i right?)?

also, while i was in bhutan, my frens and i witnessed a gang fight in the city plaza- i couldnt help but notice that the police didnt seem to arrest any of the men... they just came and searched the bloodied guy and the criminals ran away! whats going on there? what are the police like, and why do there seem to be so many gangs around (please forgive me if i seem ignorant or rude, i really have no idea, and please correct me if i am wrong!!!)

thank you SO MUCH for any help at all!!!!!
