Another year had come and passes by
But ahead of us yet another year lie 
Gone are good old and memorable days
And for the new it has made ways

It was a fine and treasured 2000 eight
For it carved even brighter days ahead
The year indeed etch in our minds
And we wish for many such kinds

Alas, we had our centenary celebrations
We had the new government declarations 
The capital was filled with festive mood
People from everywhere made us feel good

The long ‘Lona’ had then disappeared 
Good times seemed to have appeared
The Dragon had protected our Kingdom
The new era had given us new wisdom 

The new government offered us promises
They still orate in the capital in new dresses
Hitherto words speaks louder than actions
They are upto trying out the public patience

We await their services with utmost delight
And expect them to prove our choice a pride
We look unto them as our chosen leaders
And not just as mere promise builders

Globally Obama created a pleasant history
While Wall Street remained a mystery
Mumbai attacks came as a shock to us
All we could but commiserate as brothers 

Oil prices went up and then down
At times had made us frown 
And so did the dollar rate confused 
But to adapt we never refused

China held Asian heads high at Beijing

The arenas and fireworks were as amazing
Many world records were outdone 
And many new heroes shone 

Formula one title race went till the last 
In rhythm with the cars our hearts beat fast
The racing drama still went till the last lap
And the winner was eventually the young chap

England failed to make it to the European finals 
But English red devils conquered all club finals
Spain ended their long soccer trophy drought
And Liverpool continues to make red fans proud

The Champions league fixtures are mouth watering
But without ‘tensports’ here soccer fans are suffering
Yes, we have now the approved dish TV rights
That we do not have to rely on youtube highlights

We anticipate another wonderful year
A year filled with thrill and cheer 
The year is good in the Bhutanese calendar
And for decisions we do not need much to ponder

I wish you and your family a very happy new year,
Remind you of the good resolutions to bear;
I wish you health and ‘gross national happiness’
I thank you for friendship and all the dearness.

Tick tock Tick Tock the colck was strking in the lonely night as i was having my supper silently.... think how my day would be tomorrow and on top of that it was ytee777's birthday... what plans should i make, what should i gift him, how should i celebrate with him as its his first ever since he became my friend and that also one of the best of pals..... so early morning i wole up hurriedly sipped my tea yeah it was already about to be 9 am and where i was very much excited about the day(As i have mentioned earlier).... Right after i reached my work place i quickly dailled his office no without wasting a second... hellow..yes.. Soanm can i have a word with Y...... ok.. hellow Y.. i guess you know what day is today and i will be the first person to wish you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY...and as a close girlfriend of yours i think i should give you a wonderful gift ever cherished.. so what should i gift you????? there was silence between us for a few sec...ahem Tchhodentobden i will let you know in the afternoon as i need to think what i should ask from a wonderfun friend like you...and you know Birthdays only comes once in a year so i think i'll need time...what do you say???? ok take your own time and give me a ring..till then have a great day... click... that was our conversation...after that i was busy with my work and didn't had a clue how the time went by... lonely...i mr lonely..my cell ringtone gave me a disturbance when i was doing my work..i looked at my cell frame and saw Y...no... hi so what have you decided...mmmmmm..... m bit nervouse to ask you ....buttttt... its ok Y...its your day and i won't refuse you...so go on..whats it???? Tchhodentobden can u...can u.... yes.... can u be my valentine...ahhhhh.... that my birthday request... so please...i didn't even thought that he want me to be his valentine, i wanted to say no as i don't usually go out but how can i deny his first appeal..so ok... that gud..i will come and pick you up at 8 Pm tomorrow so be ready.... definitely..... i will be going for a date or celebrate with my derest fan and i hope i will meet you all guys (Nopkins and Nopkinmoos) in any of the resturant/ Dance floor or any part of Thimphu.... It is time for youngester to embark on a new line of study to achieve the desired result for a career. And for thoes, who have not, to recount and find out the reason. Remember, people are not only mistake makers, but are also mistake breakers. You also remember that as long as you live you will be making mistakes, correcting them and learning vauable lessons. the course of action doesn't lie in not liking yourself. The point to remember is that you must rise above your little self. You must endeavour to be steadfast, acept your weakness and be courageous in moment of crises. You should rely on the confidence gained from the past successes to turn crisis into creative opportunities since you have a brght dawn to tomorrow.

For those who are jubilant over success, too it is time to select appropriate field of studies, under the supervision of paents and expertise of professionals, before everything is finalised. This is time too, to embark on a different kind of career that makes you a fuller human being. Your goal should be the evolution of yourself. Lonely and Gutoo went on a camping trip. After a good meal and a bottle of wine they lay down for the night, and went to sleep. Some hours later, Lonely awoke and nudged his faithful friend. "Gutoo, look up at the sky and tell me what you see." Gutoo replied, "I see millions of stars." "...and what does that tell you?" Lonely calmly continued. Gutoo pondered for a minute. "Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in LEO. Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful and that we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you?" Lonely was silent for a moment, then spoke. "Gutoo, you idiot. Some jerk has stolen or TENT!

An elderly couple was driving across the country. While the woman was behind the wheel, the couple was pulled over by the highway patrol.

"Ma'am, did you know you were speeding?" the officer said.

The woman, hard of hearing, turned to her husband and asked, "What did he say?"

"He said you were speeding!" the old man yelled.

The patrolman then asked, "May I see your license?"

The woman turned to her husband again, "What did he say?"

The old man yelled back, "He wants to see your license!"

The woman then gave the officer her license.

The woman turned to her husband again and asked, "What did he say?"
